PHONY OUTRAGE AND A FLASHBACK

Dumbest Controversy In History Claims Another Victim: President of Cowboy Group Resigns Over Rodeo Clown’s Obama Mask…

The absurdity of it is mind-blowing.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association has resigned after getting flak about a State Fair event in which a rodeo clown riled up the crowd as a bull chased a masked man imitating President Barack Obama.
An attorney for rodeo announcer Mark Ficken said Tuesday that his resignation from the group is not an acknowledgment of wrongdoing on his part but rather a protest that the association has not banned the rodeo clown from its membership.
Ficken’s resignation from the rodeo group comes as he tries to hold on to his job as superintendent of the Boonville School District. The school system announced Monday that it is hiring an investigator to look into whether Ficken was involved in any “inappropriate conduct” during Saturday’s bull riding event at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.
Missouri’s elected officials have denounced the rodeo clown act as disrespectful to Obama.

THE COMMIE LIBS ARE FREAKING OUT NOW... BUT HOW ABOUT WHEN BUSH WAS PREZ?

Flashback: Rodeo Clown Used Bush Mask In 1994, No Outrage Ensued…

Apparently only Obama masks are “intolerant” and “disrespectful.”
… But in 1994, Douglas A. Campbell, a writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer chronicled a rodeo clown even featuring George H.W. Bush.
From the report:
The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Licciardello crouched in a heavily padded barrel, a human target should the bull decide to charge. Hawkins waited near the barrel, holding his big inner tube. A dummy with a George Bush mask stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick. […]
T.J. Hawkins rolled out the big inner tube, and the bull lowered his head, shot forward and launched into the tube, sending it bounding down the center of the arena. The crowd cheered. Then the bull saw the George Bush dummy. He tore into it, sending the rubber mask flying halfway across the sand as he turned toward the fence, sending cowboys scrambling up the fence rails, hooking one with his horn and tossing him off the fence.

A FOOLS IDEA OF WAR..

This idiot has nothing to do with it and has made sure that terrorists continue to have power in the world. They laugh at his weakness and plan their next attack. The only way to deal with them is to destroy them.
Check it out:
In a press conference at the White House East Room on Friday, President Obama said that the “core” of Al Qaeda was on its heels but that the terrorist group had “metastasized” into a different sort of threat.

“They have the capacity,” he said, “to go after our embassies… to go after our businesses… to be destabilizing and disruptive in countries where the security apparatus is weak.”

Obama said that it was consistent to believe that this “tightly organized” Al Qaeda that attacked us on 9/11 has been “broken apart” and is “very weak,” while simultaneously claiming that the Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula could still pose a serious threat.

OLD FIGHT AND WE LOST THIS ONE

PYONGYANG, North Korea - If there was ever any doubt about what happened to the only U.S. Navy ship that is being held by a foreign government, North Korea has cleared it up. It's in Pyongyang. And it looks like it's here to stay.
With a fresh coat of paint and a new home along the Pothong River, the USS Pueblo, a spy ship seized off North Korea's east coast in the late 1960s, is expected to be unveiled this week as the centerpiece of a renovated war museum to commemorate what North Korea calls "Victory Day," the 60th anniversary this Saturday of the signing of the armistice that ended hostilities in the Korean War.
The ship is North Korea's greatest Cold War prize. Its government hopes the Pueblo will serve as a potent symbol of how the country has stood up to the great power of the United States, once in an all-out ground war and now with its push to develop the nuclear weapons and sophisticated missiles it needs to threaten the U.S. mainland.
Many of the crew who served on the vessel, then spent 11 months in captivity in North Korea, want to bring the Pueblo home. Throughout its history, they argue, the Navy's motto has been "don't give up the ship." The Pueblo, in fact, is still listed as a commissioned U.S. Navy vessel, the only one being held by a foreign nation.
Already more than 40 years old and only lightly armed so it wouldn't look conspicuous or threatening as it carried out its intelligence missions, the USS Pueblo was attacked and easily captured on Jan. 23, 1968.
Surrounded by a half dozen enemy ships with MiG fighter jets providing air cover, the crew was unable to put up much of a fight. It scrambled to destroy intelligence materials, but soon discovered it wasn't well prepared for even that.
A shredder aboard the Pueblo quickly became jammed with the piles of papers anxious crew members shoved into it. They tried burning the documents in waste baskets, but smoke quickly filled the cabins. And there were not enough weighted bags to toss all the secret material overboard.
One U.S. sailor was killed when the ship was strafed by machine gun fire and boarded. The remaining 82, including three injured, were taken prisoner. The North Koreans sailed the Pueblo to the port of Wonsan.
For the survivors, that's when the real ordeal began.
"I got shot up in the original capture, so we were taken by bus and then train for an all-night journey to Pyongyang in North Korea, and then they put us in a place we called the barn," said Robert Chicca of Bonita, Calif., a Marine Corps sergeant who served as a Korean linguist on the Pueblo. "We had fried turnips for breakfast, turnip soup for lunch, and fried turnips for dinner. ... There was never enough to eat, and personally I lost about 60 pounds over there."
North Korea responded by putting members of the crew before cameras to confess publicly. The crew members planted defiant codes into forced letters of confession and extended their middle fingers in images sent around the world. That led to further beatings when the North Koreans figured out the gesture's meaning.
On Dec. 21, 1968, Maj. Gen. Gilbert H. Woodward, the chief U.S. negotiator, signed a statement acknowledging that the Pueblo had "illegally intruded into the territorial waters of North Korea" and apologizing for "the grave acts committed by the U.S. ship against" North Korea. Both before and after, he read into the record a statement disavowing the confession.
The hostages were released across the Demilitarized Zone that divides the two Koreas two days before Christmas - 335 days after their capture.
The Navy considered a court-martial for the ship's captain, Cmdr. Lloyd M. "Pete" Bucher, for letting the Pueblo fall into enemy hands without firing a shot and for failing to destroy much of the ship's classified material. But he was never brought to trial. John H. Chafee, secretary of the Navy at the time, said Bucher and the other crew members "had suffered enough."
To this day, members of the Pueblo crew say Bucher made the right decision, though years later his second-in-command publicly questioned Bucher's decisions not to fight.
"It would have been nice to take out some of the guys, some of them, and maybe go down fighting, but it would have been total suicide," said Phares. "We never thought anything would happen, and we weren't supposed to create an international incident."
The planned display of the ship by North Korea hangs over the heads of the crew members who have long campaigned for its return.
"I'll never give up, but I don't think it's ever coming back," Phares said. "It's just unfortunate that we got put in that situation, and that the top brass blamed us, or blamed Bucher, for everything."

DIRTQUAKE JUST WON'T DIE!

FOOL ON THE RUN...

There’s a story that just ran on what it is that constituted the reason for this massive shutdown of our embassies. And apparently the regime, this Eli Lake and another writer have the story at The Daily Beast, and the only way they could get this is if the regime leaked it. I mean, who else knows this? Who else knows what happened? I mean, sure you’ve got people — the NSA and CIA — but that’s the regime. And basically Ayman al-Zawahiri is now apparently much more active than even bin Laden was. He was bin Laden’s number two. Apparently, these terrorists had a conference call of like 20 of them, 20, 22 terrorists, conference call around a virtual conference table, like a board of directors of a corporation. They planned all this murder and mayhem and terrorism, and we overheard the call. And we’ve leaked that.

So now Zawahiri and his other fellow members of the Board of Terrorists Inc. now know not to use that form of communication again because it’s been compromised. Why in the world leak this? I’ll tell you why leak it. They leak it so as to make Obama look big and competent and tough and make this administration look like nobody’s gonna get anything past them. These are really tough guys, the Obama administration, and they really take terrorism seriously. So we shut down 21 embassies for a week, and we now know the explicit reason why, because we leaked it. So Zawahiri, just to repeat, is on a conference call with the other members on the board essentially — I mean, look at this as a corporation — and they’re planning these various assaults and techniques, and whoever’s listening said, “Man, this is serious stuff. This is bigger or as big as what we heard prior to 9/11.”
So they announce the closing of the embassies, and then, while Obama’s telling us he’s got Al-Qaeda on the run, we leak the actual details of that call, which gives up, tells these terrorists, Zawahiri and the others, not to use whatever form of communication they were using because it’s been compromised. So now they’re gonna go do something else that we can’t follow. Why in the world would you do this? Why would you leak this? Isn’t it enough to say that the chatter was serious and it’s causing potentially grave consequences, we have to shut the embassies?

Now, naturally people are gonna say, “Why? Well, what happened, what happened, what’s going on?” “Well, we can’t tell you. Okay, you want to know why; here’s what happened. We intercepted a phone call, series of phone calls, video calls, whatever it was.” Zawahiri and his gang now know not to do it that way again because it’s been compromised. So rather than leave it untouched and able to tap into any and every time perhaps that Zawahiri gets on the phone with his buddies, we’ve shut that down. It doesn’t make any sense, unless they’re a couple steps ahead of us on this, which I would hope, but I don’t have a lot of confidence.

AMERICAN FIGHTING MAN... SGT JAMIE DARRELL JARBOE

I Would Take That Bullet Again

On April 10, 2011 my phone rang with an unfamiliar number. Thinking it was my husband Jamie, I answered the phone quickly.

But the voice on the other end didn’t sound anything like my husband. The voice was cold and direct as he asked to speak with Melissa Jarboe. My body grew weak as the voice introduced himself as a soldier from 1st Infantry division, Fort Riley, Kan.
“Ma’am, I’m going to read this script verbatim. I do not have any answers to your questions. On the 10th day of April 2011 4th cavalry/ 4th regiment Able troop was on patrol in the Zhari District of Afghanistan when Able troop took enemy fire. SGT Jamie Darrell Jarboe was wounded by enemy fire as a casualty. My name is John Doe (name changed for privacy). Please write down this number for further information.”
Suddenly the idea of knowing this may happen to us or seeing it happen on television and in news reports became a reality.
jarboeJamie was flown first to Kandahar Hospital for the first of seven surgeries. Within 36 hours he was flown to Landstuhl pending transfer to the states. Since the bullet had shredded his spinal cord, they had to get him to the states to get the spinal leak under control. He made it to Walter Reed April 12, 2011 at 5:30 p.m.
Each day I sat next to husband who could not eat, drink, talk, or breathe on his own. He was paralyzed from the chest down. I was able to give him the empowerment through me, to become his voice and protector.
As the sun set one night, Jamie’s mother and father got ready to go back to the hotel. I stayed next to his bed in a cold metal chair for hours, rubbing Jamie’s head and massaging his hands until I fell asleep.
When the nurse came in and asked if I would like something more comfortable, I told her I didn’t want to be an inconvenience but anything would be an improvement. She brought in a recliner, but before I moved from Jamie’s bedside he opened his eyes and made a noise with his tongue to get my attention. He whispered, “Where are you going?”
I said, “I’m going to the left side of your bed to a recliner to get some sleep. Is that alright?”
He shook his head yes. I told him if he needed me, to make that noise again and I would wake up. As I stood up and stretched, Jamie made this chipmunk noise with his tongue and shook his head no.
I told him, “Babe, I’m tired. I need to take a quick nap so I can take care of you tomorrow.” He moved his lips and said, “I can’t see you when you are on the other side.”
As I lay next to Jamie once again on his hospital bed, I asked him if he wants to let me go. He shook his head yes. I started to cry once more at the thought of losing my Jamie, and he shook his head no.
I told him that I love him so much and he shook his head yes.
I asked him if he knew how much everyone is going to miss him and he shook his head yes.
I told him that I remembered everything he told me to do and I will promise to do it, he shook his head yes.
Then after I kissed his lips I said, ” I know you struggled more than humanly possible. I’m sorry for being so greedy and keeping you here because I don’t want to let you go.”
He shook his head “no,” and I gave him one last kiss. The private care nurse said she already made the call to the doctor and at 9:25 a.m., March 21, 2012 my husband took his last and final breath.
When people hear our story, I want them to hear the true meaning of Sacrifice and Love. The day Jamie was shot he laid on the sand and remembered the promise he made to come home to the girls and I.
He fought through everything just to be able to see us once again he said. He gave up everything not only for his family but for his country –just as many other service members do daily.
Even on his death bed as he laid there he never once had a regret of volunteering to serve his country, he told me,  ”I would take that bullet again, I would serve my country, because I believe in it and I love everything about America.”
In the end I look back and I realized even in the midst of chaos and our life falling apart, never once did we as a military family fall apart, we united and triumphed, learning, living and loving — every day that we could.

USS DETROIT... GOING DOWN

$444 Million Hockey Stadium To Be Built In Bankrupt Detroit

From CNN comes the news that the once-great city of Detroit, which recently filed for the largest municipal bankruptcy in American history because of President George W. Bush’s economy (he’s still president, right?), is moving forward with its plan to build a nearly half-billion-dollar hockey stadium for the city’s home team, the Red Wings.
Detroit’s unemployment rate for June was 9.4 percent. The argument that managed to convince Michigan’s Republican governor, Rick Snyder, not to halt the construction plans is that building an arena for the whitest sport in America in one of the blackest cities in America will supposedly help boost Detroit’s economy and create jobs. Never mind that most of those will be temporary construction jobs. Gov. Snyder’s cognitive functions seem to have been adversely affected by being surrounded by Democrats.

There is one Democrat, State Senator Gretchen Whitmer, who, not realizing what political party she is a member of, actually argued something mostly sensible: “If you want people to live in the city, and not just visit to go to games, you have to invest in schools, in having the police to respond to calls.” (Remember, it takes an average of about an hour for police to respond to emergency calls.) “There are so many investments that should trump a sports stadium.”

Now, while I wouldn’t leave it to a Democrat to appropriate funds responsibly, at least Whitmer sees the absurdity of asking taxpayers to put up $444 million to prop up a city that is only a few technicalities away from being a literal fecal mound, just so that people can watch an occasional hockey game. The citizens of Detroit don’t have the disposable income to spend on such frivolous entertainment. Furthermore, the people from outside of Detroit are not going to want to visit Detroit when such an outing would probably result in their being the victims of a mugging or a drive-by shooting.

Could it be that Michigan’s government realizes there is no hope for Detroit, and so this will be their last big hurrah before abandoning the city altogether? Or could it be something even more conspiratorial? Let’s see—blowing exorbitant sums on a project that you don’t need and that will see no significant return? I think the real story here is that Gov. Rick Snyder is just a figurehead; the true governor of Michigan is actually President Obama.

Obama Shamelessly Lies: Economy Is “Back To Where We Were”…

President Obama explained that the U.S. economy was back, during an address to his former campaign operation turned into a non-profit – Organizing for Action.
Obama reminded them that when he took office “the bottom had fallen out” of the national economy – citing rising inequality and middle class struggles.
“Now, the good news is over the last five years, we fought alongside people like Nancy Pelosi.  But most importantly, because of the grit and resilience and determination of the American people, we’ve been able to clear away the rubble and get back to where we were,” Obama explained.
Obama added that the economy was the most important item on his agenda – even though he noted that climate change, women’s rights, civil rights, and gun violence were still important.
