Obama Announces $100 Million Plan To Find A Brain For Joe Biden…
There’s hope for Slow Joe after all.
(Reuters) – The White House unveiled details on Tuesday on a new initiative to study the human brain with the goal of treating or curing Alzheimer’s disease and other disorders.
Called the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative, the program is to be funded with $100 million from President Barack Obama’s fiscal 2014 budget. The White House is slated to release Obama’s budget next week.
“The BRAIN Initiative will accelerate the development and application of new technologies that will enable researchers to produce dynamic pictures of the brain that show how individual brain cells and complex neural circuits interact at the speed of thought,” the White House said in a statement.

MOTO GP, FACT OR FICTION...
Bombshell: DMG Buys DORNA, MotoGP
by staff
Monday, April 01, 2013
In a surprise development, the Daytona Motorsports Group confirmed today that they had completed the purchase of MotoGP rights holder Dorna, and now own both the MotoGP world championship and the World Superbike series.
"It's another one of our incredible success stories," said DMG's David Hatless.
It's said that DMG's motivation for buying the MotoGP and WSBK series is to add the world championship to "DMG's Stable of Stars". Where fans might have feared a day when MotoGP devoured World Superbike and the two series would coincide within one paddock, now fans can contemplate a world where not only do WSBK and MotoGP race on the same weekend at the same venue, but DMG's classes will also be on the card as well.
Hatless was quick to point out that, from now on, the DMG series will not be the support classes at USGP rounds at Austin, Laguna Seca and Indy. From this point forward, MotoGP will be the support class at DMG events.
Moreover, it's expected that the former Dorna owned series will have new class names with the DMG takeover. MotoGP will become "Daytona Pro MotoGP". WSBK will now be called "The STP Daytona Pro SuperBike Series " Moto2 will remain as before, but all Moto2 class machines will be required to have automobile-style door handles on each side of the fairing. NASCAR legend Darrel Waltrip will join the series commentating team of Julian Ryder and Toby Moody.
"Boogity, boogity, boogity!" exclaimed Moody.
What's more, MotoGP world championship riders like Dani Pedrosa, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden will be required to race DMG's XR1200 class.
Fans will also immediately notice several of DMG's finer touches in terms of scheduling and media for the MotoGP and WSBK series. There will now be a three month "cooling off period" between the first and second rounds of the championship, and the series television package will disappear. DMG sources suggested that instead of a global television package as Dorna enjoyed, fans wanting to watch the races will have to travel to Daytona Beach and watch them on the big screens at Daytona USA, a NASCAR fan experience venue.
Don't forget to pick up a Dale Earnhardt Jr can cooler on your way out.
