FLYING DISASTER

The 2009 Iranian Air Force Ilyushin IL-76MD accident of 22 September 2009 resulted in the destruction of Iran's only functional Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft, an Ilyushin IL-76MD. Sources conflict on the cause of the loss, with some stating that there was a mid-air collision with an Iranian Air Force Northrop F-5E Tiger II or a HESA Saeqeh, and others stating that the rotodome detached from the aircraft, striking and removing the tailplane while the aircraft was manoeuvreing for an emergency landing following an engine fire.


ANY WAY YOU LOOK AT IT, JUST ANOTHER BAD DAY FOR THE IRANIAN AIR FORCE... WHICH IS NO LOSS. WATCH THIS VID.

INDY MOTO GP IN TWO WEEKS... WTF!

A BIG WIND GUST BLEW A STAGE DOWN  AT THE INDIANA STATE FAIRGROUNDS. I WAS REVIEWING WEBSITES TO BUY TICKETS TO THE AMA MILE AT THE TIME OF THIS TRAGEDY. PROBABLY LOOKING FOR SEATS 100' FROM THIS COLLAPSE. I HOPE TO HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN THOSE HURT OR KILLED.
