Knockout: Grown Man Takes Revenge on Wrong Child After Son Hurt in Football Game
LAKESIDE, Oregon - A Lakeside man knocked a 13-year-old boy unconscious after his son, 10, was elbowed in the face playing football with a group of kids at a city park, according to the Coos County Sheriff's Office.
The incident took place in late October when the man's 10-year-old son was was elbowed in the face during a play and then went home and told his father. His father, identified by police as 34-year-old Mark Andrew Colton, allegedly returned to the field and demanded to know who had hit his son.
According to deputies, a 13-year-old boy who was not responsible for the hit spoke up. That's when officials say Colton struck him in the temple, knocking him unconscious. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a concussion.

Colton was arrested on Saturday and charged with second degree assault. He was taken to the Coos County Jail and held on $25,000 bail.

The Obama administration has decided that the free-standing American embassy to the Holy See will soon be closed, and the offices for the Ambassador to the Vatican will be moved inside of our Italian Embassy.
As a part of the security reviews that followed the attacks on our embassy in Benghazi last year, State Department officials are now claiming that the current U.S. Embassy to the Holy See is no longer safe.
If their assessment is correct, then why not bolster security or simply move the Embassy to a new location instead of shutting it down? Are all ‘unsafe’ embassies being shut down too?

WASHINGTON – After one of them called for the “forced resignations” of President Obama and congressional leaders in response to multiple grievances, including the alleged political purge of hundreds of senior military officers, two retired U.S. generals are creating a citizens’ commission to scrutinize Obama administration actions on national security and economic issues.
“America’s Provisional Leadership Council” will look at major concerns, as outlined by Army Gen. Paul E. Vallely and Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles Jones, in an eight-point paper titled “The Americans Project.”
Vallely told WND he sees The Americans Project as a “citizens’ commission” of prominent Americans to provide advice to legislative and executive branches of government.
America’s leaders, he said, will be “held to high standards of performance to solve the nation’s problems of governing. We will scrutinize and provide guidance to federally elected officials on behalf of the citizens.”
The Americans Project, Vallely added, is a “movement, not a new party necessarily. We want candidates to run as Americans first before being a Democrat, Republican or Independent.”
Vallely, who today is chairman of the organization Stand Up America, served as the deputy commanding general of Pacific Command.
Jones, who is vice chairman of The Americans Project of Stand Up America, held numerous Air Force command positions including a tactical fighter wing, a strategic airlift wing and a special operations group.
In calling for the forced resignations of Obama and the leadership of Congress, Vallely outlined suggestions for nationwide rallies and said a peaceful “civil uprising is still not out of question.”
The current crop of leaders, he said, must face a “demand resignation” process, which he explained requires massive grassroots protests and social networking which he envisions can be undertaken through his organization. And example of a “forced resignation,” he said, was that of President Richard Nixon.
“Our federal government continues down the path of destroying America,” Vallely said. “Americans must now stand up and put America back on the right track.”

SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — The mother of a young man accused of sexually assaulting a San Pedro family’s Akita says she has apologized to the dog’s owners and that her son needs help.
Lisa Cacares told the Daily Breeze she and her husband had no idea and that they are sorry about what happened.
Her son, 22-year-old Christopher Cacares pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of animal cruelty and sexual assault of an animal. He is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting an 80-pound Akita, which was discovered after the dog’s owner set up a surveillance camera to find out why his dog had been wailing during the night, the newspaper reported.
Los Angeles police officers arrested Cacares on Nov. 14.
Lisa Cacares said her mother has Alzheimer’s disease, so she and her family moved into her home in San Pedro to help care for her.
Twice in recent months, the dog’s owner heard his dog shriek during the night in his backyard in the 1900 block of Summerland Avenue, the newspaper reported. He suspected she was reacting to a prowler, so he installed video equipment.
The dog’s owner discovered a man feeding his dog something, causing the animal to relax, and sexually assaulted her, according to the Breeze.

The CNN report quotes President Obama as saying, “I recently received a letter from a woman named Jessica Sanford in Washington state. And here’s what she wrote, I am a single mom, no child support, self-employed. and I haven’t had insurance for 15 years because it’s too expensive. I was crying the other day when I signed up, so much stress lifted.”
“But days, just really three days after she was mentioned by the president, Jessica Sanford started having problems, she was receiving letters from the Washington state health exchange,” reports CNN. “The first letter telling her that tax credit was reduced, therefore, increasing the cost of her health care plan and the, take a look at this, then she received a letter just last week telling her that her tax credit had been taken away all together. Show you another document here, showing what the tax credit worked out to be… zero dollars according to this document that was provided to us by Jessica Sanford. She describes all of this as a roller coaster ride. Now she says she can’t afford insurance in Washington state because of the new developments.”
Sanford tells CNN that she’s embarrassed. “It was a huge disappointment, especially since I had, you know, my story had been shared by the president. I felt like, you know, I just felt really embarrassed that, you know, he quoted my story and then come to find that the Washington health plan finder, the website here in our state, had grossly miscalculated or they’re having a problem figuring their tax credits. and so at least for right now, I don’t — I’m not going to be getting insurance,” she says.
